 Via Maris is the SPC of The Palmachim sea water desalination plant. The plant is currently supplying 30 Million mcm of desalinated water per annum according to BOO contract with the Israeli government (WDA – water desalination authority) for 25 years. The sea water desalination process comprises of several chemical and physical process that aim to take sea water and transform them into portable water. The process design of the facility was planned by GES, Granite's subsidiary, which took a leading role at the consortium and is the operation & maintenance sub-contractor of Via- Maris partnership.
